iVideoBlast.com's FAQ

What is iVideoBlast?
iVideoBlast is a member-driven community offering downloads of classic animation, tv shows, and movies formatted for viewing on your computer or video iPod.

How do I download a video I have purchased?
#1) Click the buy button on a video of your choice

#2) Enter your information with our payment process. NOTE: Be sure to click the button to return to the iVideoBlast.com site after payment is processed.

#3) Click the "My Downloads" link on the left navigation pane in the Member Area. This should list all the videos you have purchased.

#4) Click the Download button next to the video you want to download.

How do I buy multiple videos at once?
Currently we only offer the ability to buy videos one at a time. We
have received many requests already for a shopping cart feature that
allows you to queue all the videos you are interested in and make a
one-time purchase of your final selections. This benefit will be coming in January 2006.

Can I purchase full seasons at a time?
While technically speaking we do not host full seasons of our videos
in the library we do plan on providing grouped packages that will make
it easy to buy all the videos in a series with one click. For instance
you could purchase all the Andy Griffith shows at once with one click
or Looney Tunes, etc… This benefit is also on target for January 2006.

What type of DRM do you use on your videos?
DRM, which is short for Digital Rights Management, is a form of copy
protection that limits the users rights to freely do as they wish with
a particular file. iVideoBlast does not encode any of our videos for
sale with any form of DRM. This enables the buyer the freedom to make
a backup copy onto a CD for safe keeping or load onto multiple iPods
in the family.

What format are the videos encoded in?
All of our videos are encoded in the highest quality standard
available today. This format is sometimes called AVC or is better
known as H.264. This is the same video standard that digital tv
broadcasters are moving towards along with the next generation of high
definition dvds.

What are the technical details of your encoded videos?
All of our videos are encoded into H.264 format using a two-pass
process. This increases the length of time required to encode our
videos but the added benefit is a noticeable increase in picture
quality over a simple one-pass process. The videos are encoded at the
iPods native resolution of 320 x 240. A constant video bitrate of
384kbps is used along with 128kbps AAC audio. We have found this to be
the perfect balance between quality and a reasonable file size for
downloading.

How do I  suggest videos I would like to see added to your library?
We are always open to our users requests for new content in the
iVideoBlast library and encourage you to send us your feedback. Send
us an email at support@ivideoblast.com and include the series name for
a new series we do not yet offer or include a specific episode name
for a series we currently offer other episodes of. You can also
suggest names of movies you are interested in.

How can I be notified when a new video is added to your library?
There are a number of different ways to accomplish this. We recommend
you subscribe to our RSS feeds with your favorite newsreader. Each
time a new video is added that is related to that feed you will be
automatically notified. You can also look under our "New Releases"
section on the site to see what has been added in the past week. The
iVideoBlast blog will also post about new additions to the library as
they occur.
